 On January 1, 1993, Curneal-Pirtle, Inc. and Richards & Bowling, Inc., both of Elizabethtown, Kentucky merged their insurance agencies and formed Curneal & Hignite Insurance, Inc.
Gerald Hignite was president and sole owner of Richards & Bowling, Inc. and David Curneal was president and sole owner of Curneal-Pirtle, Inc. Thus, David Curneal and Gerald Hignite became President and Vice-President respectively of the new corporation, Curneal & Hignite Insurance, Inc.
On February 1, 2001, Gerald R. Hignite became President and Sole Stockholder of Curneal & Hignite Insurance, Inc.
Curneal & Hignite Insurance, Inc. joined the Houchens Insurance Group on July 1, 2007.
Gerald R. Hignite remains as President and manager of Curneal & Hignite.
Curneal & Hignite Insurance, Inc. purchased Heartland Insurance on October 1, 2007.
Gerald R. Hignite remains President and manager of Curneal & Hignite.
